One of the problems that’s been on offer of late in my Geometry class has been finding the area of a regular octagon with side length s. One of my student’s diagrams always come out so cool looking. 🙂

Another student is editing a video he made of his solution to the problem. I’ll post a link to it when he finishes it.

Such a good Problem. A good one for Alg2!

Totes. (Because of the radical/polynomial manipulation?) Some were (relatedly) also grappling with this. For those into this notion, I recently ran across a cool post about it.

Love the PT one. I love how the octagons meet. Reminds me of tiling for octas and squares.
